The Draft
-
Draft sheets to be provided at least 2 weeks before draft day
-
All players to be listed as per first position on SOM card
- All No-Name cards
are accepted in league as long as we can properly identify them
-
All players who have a catcher rating listed with catchers
-
Starting Pitchers are those who start only or
have starter underlined
-
Middle Men
have both start and relief
rating (if starter is underlined, starters only - if relief underlined, cannot
start). All 3 inning relievers are considered middle men for the
ETTTBBL
-
Stoppers are those with relief only
except for the above-mentioned 3 inning guys
-
At the end of the regular season, all teams will enter a lottery type
system to determine the draft order. This system will be based on the system the
NBA uses for its worst teams
-
There will be 28 rounds of drafting
giving each franchise 32 players
-
Trading prior and during the draft is permitted for protectees and draft
pick positions. This means you can give up and/or trade order in the draft but
cannot trade players already drafted
-
Trades must be announced prior to start of draft for trades made prior to
draft or prior to any pick in a "during draft" trade
- There will be no trading of draft picks during the
season
-
At the end of the draft, each team must consist of: a)
32
players; b) a minimum of 9 pitchers including two
middle men; and c) a minimum of 3 catchers
- There will be an annual Golf Outing prior to the
draft to discuss whatever and have some fun before the serious stuff starts
