General Rules

Regular season series consist of 3
games. Home team to arrange day

Home team provides the 20-sided dice
for splits
-
All dice must land on playing surface(
a roll or throw, not a drop). Also one of the dice must be a different
color
than the other two (for clarity)

Switch hitters bat opposite to
pitcher's throwing arm
-
The commissioner and the integrity
committee, reserve the right to declare games forfeited
or replayed in cases where league integrity is not being maintained
-
Games that cannot be played during
scheduled week must be played early in the
following week. If this is not possible, contact commissioner
-
All batter and pitcher cards will be
placed in such a way so as to be visible
to both managers

Managers make the call on all

baserunners

Whenever there is a Home Run/Flyout
split (from cards or ballpark chart) the
outfielder's defensive ability may be challenged, and it can make the
difference
between a home run and a flyout. The rule comes into play when you roll the 20
sided
dice to see if it is a home run. If the last number in the home run range or
the first
number of the fly out range is rolled then the outfielder's ability will be
checked with
another roll of the 20 sided dice. Refer to the following chart to determine
which
outfielder has a chance for the catch.

For instance, if the home run range is 1-14 and you roll a 14 or a 15 on the 20
sided dice, then you must roll the 20 sided dice again and refer to the
following chart to determine the outcome:

Statistics

After each series, the home manager should report the results (Ws and Ls) to
the commissioner. Notable events (pitching, Offence, defence) can also be
mentioned. This information will be published monthly on the
Newsletter page
on the web site

Each manager must send a stat sheet to the statistician after the 7th, 14th,
21st and final series. The stats that are necessary are: a) for hitters
AB, H, HR, RBI, steals
and b) for pitchers
IP, ER, WINS, LOSES, SAVES.
Stats will be shown on teams' respective page.

The league standings and leaders will be included on the
Statistics page

Pitching history and availability must be maintained and available upon
request
-
All HPs to be considered walks
-
Batters need 250 at bats to be eligible
for batting title while pitchers need 81 innings to be considered for the ERA
crown. We are playing an 81 game season this year (9 versus each team)
Team Rosters
-
Rosters are to consist of
32 players
(after the draft), including 25 regulars (players after the 25 are considered
in the minors).
-
All rosters must include a minimum of
3
catchers
and 9 Pitchers.
There must be at least 2 catchers and 9 pitchers
(incl. 2 middle men) on the regular
25 man roster
-
The regular 25 man roster must include
back-ups at each position
- Each team will be allowed
five (5)
non-injury moves during the regular season, but movement due to injury will be
unlimited (see section on Playoffs for explanation of moves in the
post-season). Injury movements can be made between games
-
Any starting pitcher sent down, must
remain there for
12
games
-
Everyday
players must have a minimum of
300 ABs
-
Platoon
players must have a minimum of
200 ABs
and can start ½ of the regular season
games. If a platoon player enters game before 6th inning ( except as a pinch
hitter or runner) for reasons
other than
injury, it shall count as a start for that
game .But if he starts any ensuing games for the injured player, it
does
count as
A start
for counting purposes

All others to be pinch hitters and/or
defensive replacements (defence
after
5th inning only). They can
start in case of injury
at injured
player's position only
